I don't know about you, but I love the fall! Time with family and friends. Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! It is at this time of year that we often reflect on things we are thankful for. In keeping with tradition, I would like to share what we are thankful for here at AVM Research Foundation.
September and October were action packed months for AVM Research Foundation. We kicked off the fall with Woodlands Nights at Mercedes Benz of the Woodlands hosted by Network Financial. We had an awesome turnout for an after hours event raising money through a sports memorabilia auction, cigar bar, and donations from purchases through the evening. Anytime we raise money we are able to help Dr. Chen and his team continue research for better treatment and earlier detection of AVM's. Thank you to everyone who came out and were part of the event! We followed Woodlands Nights up with the 3rd Annual Bluejack Golf Tournament! On behalf of AVM Research Foundation and the Logan family, we would like to thank everyone who came out to support our foundation at Bluejack National. This year our tournament was dedicated to the memory of Matt Stratman (Julie Wygant Stratman), a 16 year old from Ohio who passed away from an AVM a few months ago. Please continue to keep this family in your prayers. Rain was in the forecast, but God had other plans. He cleared the sky and made it a great day for golf. Thank you Bluejack National for hosting an INSANELY awesome tournament and thank you Rich, Staci & the entire staff who worked their tails off! Thank you Luc and the Wehby family for allowing us to honor your precious son Luc and sharing your story. Jacquie Wehby Kirk Wehby Thank you Kelly Mahoney for bending over backwards for us as ALWAYS! Thank you Rig Riders! I honestly can say I never thought my 16 year old son would be in a Bikers Club! LOL! That was AWESOME and the love you showed us was incredible. Thank you Fuzzy's Vodka, Walk-Ons, DVL Concepts, Norton Ditto (The Woodlands and Houston), Northside Imports, Ashlee Smith Morris (Remax Realtor), Chairma Design (Christy Christi Cox Petty), Stacey & Brad Risner, AJGA (and Mark Ingebrigtsen for setting that up!), Tru-Lucks (The Woodlands), Ada Coffman, & Brian Naugle. Thanks Meg Doyle for your photography!! Thanks to all of the players who supported us and we hope you had a fantastic experience! We raised over $115,000 thanks to all of YOU! God Bless! #Project 17:20
